HOME OF THE HAWKS!
BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT
Hello Taylor Mountain Families!
WELCOME BACK TO OUR NEW AND RETURNING TAYLOR MOUNTAIN FAMILIES!!
SUMMER ACADEMIES AT TAYLOR MOUNTAIN
Many students attended three weeks of Learning Academy held in June for grades K-5. They spent their days honing their academic skills, engaging in science experiments, creating unique artistic projects and participating in outdoor activities. Kinder Academy occurs during the first two weeks of August. This program is provided for our Kindergarten students and provides an opportunity for them to become prepared for the first day of school. Tech Camp is also being hosted at Taylor Mountain providing an opportunity for students to discover the intricacies of technology as well as basic device repair strategies.
BEGINNING OF THE YEAR INFORMATION
School starts at 8:00 a.m. on August 18. The first bell rings at 7:55 a.m. and students are expected to be in their classrooms by the 8:00 a.m. bell. Students arriving after 8:00 a.m. will need to report to the Office to receive a late pass to class. The Tardy Policy for Taylor Mountain remains in effect this year. We take attendance seriously at Taylor Mountain. Students that are tardy miss precious moments of instruction.
Class lists for students will be posted on the Office windows at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 16.
Taylor Mountain Elementary School requires our students to dress according to our Common Dress policy. In addition to black, white and burgundy polo shirts, students are also permitted to wear Taylor Mountain T-shirts. Order forms for these shirts will be sent home on the first day of school, August 18. Please complete the form and return to school by Monday, August 22.
Taylor Mountain is also hosting an on site preschool provided by North Bay Children's Center. This is a program for children aged 3-5 1/2. If interested, please contact Claudine Percosan at 415-382-8712.
