Hello Taylor Mountain Families!
SCHOOL SMILES PROGRAM ROCKS AT TAYLOR MOUNTAIN
The last two dates are scheduled for the Dental Van to serve our students' dental needs at Taylor Mountain. Thanks so much to the School Smiles Program and staff for providing this valued service to our families.
BRINGING TREATS TO SCHOOL
Please follow the nutritional guidelines when bringing treats to your child's classroom. This information is attached in the sidebar. In addition, talk with your child's teacher prior to bringing any food items for the class.
CHECK IN AT THE OFFICE PRIOR TO GOING TO CLASS
As a reminder, it is essential that if you arrive on the Taylor Mountain campus after 8:00 a.m., that you check in at the school office upon arrival. This is an essential measure that protects the safety of our students in additional to protecting their academic class time with their teacher. Class instruction begins each day at 8:00 a.m. . Thank you.
PARTNERSHIP WITH BARNES AND NOBLES
Barnes and Nobles, a local bookseller, has provided an opportunity for the families and staff of the Bellevue Union School District to participate in their Spring Book Fair. Flyers will be sent home within the next few weeks with information. Any purchases that you make at Barnes and Nobles (either on line or in store) using the provided voucher number, will result in donating a percentage of the sale to purchase books for our students. We are working diligently to provide a book for every student in the district to take home in late May.
SAFETY DURING SCHOOL ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL
We continue to be concerned about the safety of our students during both arrival and dismissal times. If you are picking up your student from school in a vehicle, we ask that you either park and walk to pick up your child or drive through our western parking lot along the curb where they can enter your vehicle from the sidewalk. Many parents are having students run between the buses, across Bellevue Avenue, to enter a vehicle. This is unsafe for our students. A big thank you to our parents that walk in and wait for their children each day in the designated area.
6th GRADE PROMOTION
Sixth Grade promotion this year will be held on June 5, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in the multi-purpose room. Information will be sent home soon. This is a full event so we ask that all balloons be held either in the school office, at the back of the multi-purpose room or held down in front of you while you are seated. In this manner, all attendees are able to see the students and witness this marvelous event. See you there!
Thanks for all that you do for Taylor Mountain....our community partnership between family and staff ensures that Taylor Mountain students continue to soar!!
