Hello Taylor Mountain Families!
FREE TB TESTING AT TAYLOR MOUNTAIN
The first step in becoming a volunteer at Taylor Mountain is having a TB test. This year we are incredibly fortunate to be able to offer FREE TB tests for ALL parents wishing to be volunteers. Our school nurse will be in the front office conference room from 7:45 a.m.-3:15 p.m.. No appointment is necessary...please just stop right in. I urge all of you to take advantage of the amazing opportunity. We will also have a translator on site for our Spanish speaking parents.
SCHOOL SMILES PROGRAM ROCKS AT TAYLOR MOUNTAIN
At the start of the school year, we sent home forms with our students indicating that we partner with the School Smiles Program to provide dental cleaning, dental check ups, and flouride treatments. In order for students to be able to take advantage of this opportunity, parents signed permission slips at the start of the year. Within the next few weeks, we will begin to get our program underway! The School Smiles program is supported by local dentists and hygienists that volunteer their time for our students.
PTA EVENING EVENT
Thanks to all of you for supporting our most recent PTA fundraiser at Panda Express. This was an amazing opportunity to have a marvelous dinner and support Taylor Mountain all at the same time. Please join us at our next event on March 16. We are holding the 1st annual Lucky Game Night from 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. in the Cafeteria. This is a parent and child event. Come on in, relax and play a board game with your child. Hope to see you there!
BRINGING TREATS TO SCHOOL
Please follow the nutritional guidelines when bringing treats to your child's classroom. This information is attached in the sidebar. In addition, talk with your child's teacher prior to bringing any food items for the class. It is important as well to remember to check in at the office any time that you are on campus.
On time attendance positively affects student academic success in school. A gentle reminder that students arriving after the 8:00 a.m. bell, are considered tardy. We have incorporated our new attendance system , A2A, so that we can easily monitor attendance at school as well as conference with families that may require extra support in getting their children to school on time.
Thanks for all that you do for Taylor Mountain....our community partnership between family and staff ensures that Taylor Mountain students continue to soar!!
